  • Yep, it's been 5 months! I wonder why I'm not able to keep up with this? Um, maybe potty training two 2.5 year olds.  Um, maybe my 6 year old, needing my undivided attention.  But hey, it's where I'm at and I love it.  God gave me these babies so He knew I could do it!!

So, lets see....................What's been going on since Feb??  Sheesh! ALOT. I guess I'll just do the best and start from way back during the winter. In March our friends from Texas came to see us and we went snow skiing.  It was Danny, me, Brycen, (the girls stayed here with mom). The Grametbaurs.  That's Stacey, Lauri, Rory, Ryan, Ragan, Riley and Randon.

Ok, I really tried to update, but I keep getting distracted.  I'll try to do more tomorrow.

I know, I know.  It's been forever.  I had no idea it had been a month already.  You know time goes by so fast and sometimes I get really convicted about how much time I actually waste.  It's especially clear today as I'm sitting here trying to remember what has happened since my last post.

Well one thing really, really important happened.  I turned 31 on Jan.17th!! How exciting for me.  I'm not being sarcastic. Really, I'm not.  I havent had a hard time with getting older at all.  I just think of my friends who are a few years older than me, they are really wise ladies.  So......as I get older, I should be gaining some of that wisdom as well.  I guess it all goes back to how I am spending my time.  Am I wasting it, or am I making the most of it?? Oh well. Live and learn.  What else about me.........................oh, the nursery at church is going well.  I think we have about 15 volunteers.  I had a training meeting a couple of weeks ago and it went well.  Now we just need some more babies!!  (In the nursery I mean, not in our house!

Ok, what's new with the Gonzales'??? The girls are sleeping in toddler beds now! Yipee.  The are doing so good.  Every once in a while Hannah will fuss a little after we shut the door, but that's it.  I was worried that I would have a fight on my hands, keeping them in bed.  But, no, they have done so good. I am also potty training them.  So our house right now has 2 naked girls running around it! They are doing pretty ok.  But hey, it's only the 3rd day and they've been in diapers over 2 years.  It's a big change for them.  Let's see............what's going on with Brycen??? Well he's doing so good in school.  He's really reading good. (for a kindergartener). He hasnt been in anymore trouble since last months, um....... incident.  He is very proud of himself.  Everyday he gets in the car and says "no notes". So I think he's on the right track.

Danny and I were blessed with concert tickets! We saw Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, and Steven Curtis Chapman.  It was alot of fun.  It is so exciting to worship God with thousands of people.  Anyway, it was great. We really appreciate our friends, the Orff's, for thinking of us when they had some extra tickets.

I really think that's all.  Church is going great.  Pastor Dean always has a great message for us.  Worship is going awesome.  We do have the best worship pastor in the whole wide world you know.

We still love it in Colorado.  The weather is so great.  It is almost 50 degrees out right now.  It is so sunny and beautiful.  We do miss our friends and fam in Texas a bunch though.  The Grametbaurs will be here next month for a visit, so that will be sooooooooooo good.

Ok, that's all. Let's see if I can keep this thing more updated from now on.

  • The past couple of days have been pretty same o same o.  Oh, Brycen did get sent to the principals office, and sent home from school, for the first time!! He took a bite of this poor little girls arm. He said "well, she took my bear" like that made it totally ok. Well he had no TV, Gamecube or toys for 2 days.  He has been doing ok at school since.  Hannah has started climbing out of her crib and sleeping on the floor!! I don't know what's up with that girl.  She cracks me up.  Emily is still our little dancin machine.  The last couple of days she has been walking around saying "paging doctor, paging doctor." Don't ask, cause I don't know.

Danny started his new job in the springs this week.  He is in Denver at 5am or so, works till 1 and then drives straight to his job in the springs.  Next week he will be full time here.  Im so relieved.  After the snowy mess we had this morning, I'm glad he wont be having to make that drive much longer.

Church is still great, I'm planning a training meeting sometime this month for our Nursery/Preschool workers.  Oh, we 116 people Sunday morning and I think there were 30 at youth.  Is that awesome or what!!!!!

What else???? Mom in on vacation at Yellowstone with some of her friends.  They are celebrating the reintroduction of the wolves to the park. (whatever) If that floats her boat, go for it, right?  I'm just glad she's having a good time.  She deserves it!!

Weather Report: 25 degrees at 2:30 in the afternoon, snowy all morning(scary drive to pick Brycen up from school).  Sunny right now.  It is so stinkin pretty!!

Oh, if you have not seen Napoleon Dynamite, please, please do.  It will make you laugh so hard, you'll forget how stupid it really is.

Brycen is back in school, Danny's back at work and the girls are up to their usual stuff.  Here's an update on all of us:

Brycen: No Notes from school this week!! Yeah.  His teacher sent home some books that he is going to learn to read.  It is so exciting watching him do "big boy" stuff.  His PaPaw and Nanny sent him a Gamecube for Christmas that he really enjoys.  It's so amazing how they just "know" how to do these silly games.  He does have a time limit, and it's been working really well.

Emily:  Well, what can I say, she still looks so tiny, but all of  the words that come out of her mouth are so big!! She is so cute, when Hannah is throwing her bedtime fits, she will just lay there singing "Jesus Loves Me", "ABC's", or "Itsy Bitsy Spider".  Oh, Emily is a dancing machine.  She reminds Danny of the way that Elaine, from Seinfeld, dances.  It is too funny.

Hannah: Man, this girl can scream!! The past few weeks she has been screaming (like someone is cutting a limb off) at bed time.  Thank goodness she is getting better.  We've gone from an hour bedtime fight, to anywhere from 2min to 30 min.  Oh, well.  What do you do? Hannah is so sweet, many times thru out the day, she will run up, hug my leg, and say "love you momma".  You can't beat that!

Christy & Danny: We are really loving Colorado.  It is so beautiful.  The weather is awesome.  The cold is different from Texas cold.(well, now I know it was hardly ever cold in Texas.  The church www.rockfamilychurch.com  is doing awesome!! The church is about 6 months old and we are running about 100 on Sundays and about 15-30 youth on Sunday nights!!  Danny's worship team is awesome!! He is truly blessed to have such faithful and talented people serving with him.  I'm  involved with the 0-4's class.  We have 10 volunteers, which I think is awesome considering the size of church we are. We absolutly love our pastor's and are excited to see how Colorado Springs will be impacted by the people of Rock Family.  The vision God has given Pastor Dean is so, um, big, huge, awesome, amazing. Really there are no words to describe it. We are just so humbled that he is allowing us to be a part of it.  Oh, how could I forget??  Rock Family has just hired our very first full time youth pastor!! Anthony and Marie,  from Waco Texas, will be here at the end of this month to jump start our youth ministry.  There are about 10,000 high school students (I don't know how many Jr.Highers) on the north side of the springs, where we are. They are just waiting to here about the love of God!!  And we know that Anthony and Marie will "bring it too em"!!

What else....... Our family has a new addition!! No I'm not pregnant!! Steve Jones, who moved here from OK, has become our adopted brother. He moved here to hook up with Rock Family. He plays keys for the band, and does whatever else is needed.  The girls even call him "Uncle Stevie".  He is such a blessing to us.  I honestly havent seen Danny have so much fun with a guy in a long time!

We miss our Texas family and friends so much.  I talk to my friend Lauri everyday, I don't know how I would make it with out her constant encouragement.  We talk to Bea atleast every other day.  She is so faithful to call and check on us.  She's great because she totally understands that the kids sometimes keep me from picking up the phone to call.  We were so happy to see Jeff, Syl and the kids at Christmas.  It helped us feel like we were home for a little while.  What else?? Jamie was here for Christmas, and we had allot of fun with her.  She introduced us to Napolean Dynamite!! We will be forever grateful. He has truly filled our lives with laughter!!  Yeah, I'm a dork, but I get it from Jamie!.

I guess that's it for today.  I'll be sure and keep you posted of the Gonzales happenings!!  Love and miss all of you.

Stacey, we love and miss you.  Can't wait to see you in March!!

Today, we are officialy starting our new year!! A new year of growth for our whole family.  Danny and I will grow in our relationship with God,  our relationship with each other, our family, and our new church family.  The children will grow in their spiritual lives, their lives as our obedient     children, and their lives as siblings.  Our desire as a whole family will be to always be pleasing to God!!
